Rick Barrera has served his clients in litigation proceedings in multiple areas of personal injury including wrongful death, tractor-trailer crashes, oil field work-related injuries, and medical malpractice. He currently serves on the Minority Caucus for American Association for Justice, where he is Incoming Chair. Rick is also an active member in the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association as well as the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

Navan Ward, Jr. is a Principal at Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis and Miles, P.C. He heads up the firm’s new Atlanta office location. He is the firm’s lead attorney on the Proton Pump Inhibitor litigation. He is also the firm’s lead attorney on the Metal-on-Metal hip implant litigation. Additionally, Navan serves as the Vice President for the American Association for Justice.

Jennifer Lipinski is an attorney at Gordon & Partners with a civil trial practice edicated to the pursuit of justice for Florida’s injured with a focus on personal injury, automobile accidents, sexual assaults, product liability, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, and wrongful death. She currently serves as an AAJ Board of Governor.  She is also Treasurer for the New Lawyer Division. Jennifer is a graduate of the AAJ Leadership Academy.

Katherine James has worked to make attorneys and witnesses better courtroom communicators since 1977. She has helped take over 1,500 cases to trial and helped prepare literally thousands of witnesses, including experts of every stripe. She coaches witnesses and their lawyers to reach, persuade and activate jurors. She has taught for AAJ, ABTL, ABA, NITA, DRI, CICA as well as many law firms and bar associations.

Ed Ciarimboli is a partner in Fellerman & Ciarimboli, where he concentrates his practice on representing the victims of trucking and auto accidents, as well as medical  malpractices cases. In addition, Ed has successfully litigated cases involving trucking and automobile accidents, defective products, premise liability, cancer misdiagnosis, and  other medical malpractice cases.

Mark Avera has a history of many years of service to the people of Florida. His knowledge and understanding of the legal needs of his clients come not only from the practice of law, but from his early career as sheriff’s deputy in Alachua County. Mark serves as Managing Partner for Avera & Smith and he is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar.

Sach Oliver is a trial lawyer with the Bailey & Oliver Law Firm, offering legal representation to the entire state of Arkansas.  He practices exclusively in catastrophic injury and death cases.  He speaks at continuing education events across the nation.


Robert Collins
of Robert Collins & Associates has stood up for people against the power and resources of large corporations and government for over three decades. He has a proud tradition of representing people in trial courts at all levels and across North, Central, and South America. Robert has served as 2013 Chair of the American Association for Justice Trucking Litigation Group, 2014 Chair of the AAJ Bus Litigation Group, 2014 Chair of the 2500 member AAJ Motor Vehicle Collision, Highways and Premises Liability Section, Course Advisor of the AAJ Trucking Litigation Skills College, Course Advisor for the AAJ Jazz Fest Seminar, and presented at numerous truck/bus case seminars and courses for state Trial Lawyers Associations across the country. Mr. Collins has served as plaintiffs’ class counsel in “multiple death bus/truck crash” cases and court-appointed plaintiffs’ class counsel with Irving Younger in the first mass tort wrongful death class action in the United States, representing 113 wrongful deaths and hundreds of injuries in the Kansas City Hyatt Federal Skywalk Litigation.

Jennifer Donaldson is a Licensed Certified Social Worker, specializing in the effects of trauma & the working professional’s health. Jennifer is the Executive Director of the
Arkansas JLAP.

Kellye Raymond possesses a rare combination in the trial and jury consulting field as she is both a licensed attorney and a consultant. She combines her unique charisma, intense dedication and passion for working with plaintiff’s lawyers to bring quality consulting to her cases. Kellye started her career with nationally renowned jury
consultant, Robert Hirschhorn, where she learned from and worked with the best trial lawyers in the country.

Harvey Moore, Ph.D. has provided research and consulting services to attorneys and
clients since 1975. From presentation techniques to jury selection or trial monitoring, his firm assists in the development and prediction of courtroom decision processes. His work has been featured on television news shows such as Hard Copy, A Current Affair, 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, Dateline, Eye to Eye with Connie Chung and CNN.
